Trenchless Sewer Repair vs. Traditional Sewer Repair

Trenchless Sewer Repair

Backed-up sewer lines and other dangerous issues caused by damaged pipes can wreak havoc on your yard and your wallet. Traditional sewer line repair requires your yard to be dug up, resulting in costly replacement of landscaping and grass.

Luckily, there is a less invasive, more efficient option available called trenchless sewer repair. Pittsburgh customers can rest easy when they encounter a sewer line issue since this technique doesn’t require us to dig up your yard or damage your property with heavy machinery.

How Do Trenchless Sewer Line Repairs Work?

Typically, a trenchless sewer repair either involves relining.  This will depend on what your sewer line problems are. For the trenchless relining process, a flexible tube, cured-in-place (CIPP) pipe is inserted into your existing pipes. This CIPP pipe is coated with a high-quality, durable resin that makes installation easy. Rather than our crews digging a long trench, we can dig one access hole to reline your damaged pipes. After the new pipe is inserted, you will have to wait one hour or so to allow the resin to dry. Once it has cured, you can use your sewer lines again.

What are the Benefits of Trenchless Sewer Repair?

As we mentioned above, trenchless sewer repairs will not destroy your yard. You also save money by avoiding the dozens of fees it takes to dig up any of your neighbor’s yards that your sewer line damaged effects, as well as the fees needed to repair the damage after your project is completed. You can expect to save around 30-40% when compared to the cost of a traditional sewer repair.

The CIPP pipe is also more flexible. This flexibility keeps your home safer and more environmentally friendly. Trenchless pipes can be composed of a variety of materials which include ones that are environmentally friendly such as recycled PVC. These flexible pipes also help to ensure that your sewage, water, and gas flow correctly without waste or siphoning.

Trenchless sewer pipes are also easier to repair when compared to traditional sewer pipes.
